Shutyev Ivan
Was born on October 28, 1933 in Uzhhorod, Transcarpathia.
In 1955 he graduated Uzhhorod College of Applied Arts, Department of Painting.
A member of the National Union of Ukrainian Artists since 1962.
Honoured Artist of Ukraine (1975).
One of the most fruitful and exquisite Transcarpathian masters of still life. Talented, emotional, impressively multi-genre landscape painter. His perfect lyric-epic canvases demonstrate the mountain panorama of native Carpathians and stormy coast of the North Sea, villages of Verkhovyna and city landscapes of Uzhhorod, Budapest, Moscow, Bukhara, Samarkand. He immortalized nearly all the old wooden churches of Transcarpathia for posterity. All his work is marked with realistic expressiveness and artistry of style.
